I am aware that the heat wave is no laughing matter and that half of Europe is suffering; however, I just walked into Compostela (yesterday) and am very grateful Galicia is far from the heat.

Living in South Florida, THAT is why I love returning to Santiago to work as a Pilgrim Office volunteer, for a month from mid-July through mid-August.

The weather there, then, is akin to winter here in Florida.

Love it! Only 13 days until I leave...
