What is the train situation from Paris?

My plan is to leave from Paris on Monday May 8 for Hendaye and Irun. i have heard that there are strikes on the rail system and that the days that are disrupted are Mondays and Tuesdays. is this even possible???

French rail strikes are currently scheduled for certain future dates. However not all lines/trains will strike on those dates. Which lines will strike are published only the night before striking. For the potential dates see this earlier forum thread.

By the way Monday is May 7 not as you state May 8.

Thanks so much for this link. My train is the 7th so fingers crossed, but on any event I recognize this as part of the Camino. Very excited
