What is the measurement of the Compostela certificate (8 1/2" x 11", or what size)? Is the distance credential the same size? Trying to understand so I can bring tube to protect if I am seen fit to obtain one.

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
The certificate is A4 which measures 210 × 297 millimeters or 8.27 × 11.69 inches
As mentioned before, you can buy a tube there - mine could hold both :)

The credential (passport) is the same size as a normal passport and in booklet form. I just put mine in a ziplock bag.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
There are two tubes available at the Pilgrim Office where you get both credentials. If you are opting for the distance credential also, get the red tube, which is longer and will hold both credentials easily.
Bom Camino!
Colleen means "Compostela" and distance certificate, as the credential is a booklet that does not go in a tube.

Anemone del Camino, thank you for believing in me! I am worse than my IPhone Autocorrect sometimes. I went back and edited the entry so as not to confuse the common people.
I am moving to a Condo in Beaufort and trying to downsize and declutter, but when I came across the empty red tube my *Compestelas* were transported in, I just couldn't throw it out. It is of no earthly use unless I store pasta in it or boink my stupid cat's head with it when she scratches the furniture or roll it in peanut butter then seeds and hang it in the catawba tree...wait...it is of some use.
Never mind.
I will pack it and take it.:D

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

I just measured mine, it is 280 by 206mm. Not a standard paper size. But it is 10 years old. Maybe it was A4 and shrunk with age.

I just got mine last month. No need to bring a tube. The pilgrims office gave me a tube for my Compostela.

I think some might be slightly smaller - but never bigger :)
