What to do with my computer?

I know half of you just answered "Leave it at home" after seeing the title of this thread.

I don't need my computer on the camino, but I will continue traveling after the camino for several months and I will need my computer then. Any suggestions about what to do with it while on the camino? I was thinking of sending it via Fed Ex to Ivar's luggage storage service. Would this be safe? Are there any other options?

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!
If it were me I would just send it to Ivar. I'm sure it will be in good hands. The only caveat would be the internal battery. You may have to check on the shipping requirements of hazardous materials . I'm sure fed ex will be able to steer you inn the right direction. I would also check with Ivar . I assume you are talking about a lap top and not a full fledged desk top with a 27 in. Monitor.

Make sure you ship it to Ivar WHEN you reach Spain and not from home as you are outside the EU, otherwise Ivar will be asked to pay import duty on the value of the computer.
Buen Camino.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
I think that you maybe need to check out the law regarding postage of certain items from both outside and inside Spain. Certain items are banned and the computer might be included because of having a lithium battery. From within Spain it might be allowed, but need the contents declaring. This is in addition to the import/customs issues mentioned. (Our UK post office has a list of both declarable and banned items which I saw this morning)

Hi, I would say send it to Ivar.
Wish you well and a Buen Camino, Peter.

Hola ratyoke,

What ever happened with your computer? I too will need my computer when I get off of the Camino and plan on shipping to Ivan any advice?

Gracias,
Ohia

Yes, pardon me. So I've just read this cool article about the closing of the Puerta del Perdón in the Monastery of Santo Toribio for the holy year (and it is a very beautiful peurta for sure). It...
