What to see and exeperience on our way to Santiago

Our next stage to Santiago start in May this year. We will start in Villadangos and end in Villafranca del Bierzo
Does anyone have any recommendation for what to see, accomodation, restaurants, sightseeing etc?

Best regards
Britt

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Albergue Leo in Villafranca.

Astorga, Ponferrado and Molinaseca have some very interesting buildings.

The Roman ruins in Astorga are worth a visit. They are well preserved and add to an appreciation of the long history of the Camino well before the establishment of the pilgrimage to Santiago.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Transport luggage-passengers.
From airports to SJPP
Luggage from SJPP to Roncevalles
Britt,

Hospital de Orbigo offers many
accommodation options; my favorite is the Albergue Verde. They accept reservations, offer dorm bunks + a private room and serve wonderful vegetarian group meals each evening.

Leaving HdO turn right to follow the camino towards Astorga via Santibanez de Valdeiglesias on rolling rural path

For further research here is an earlier Forum thread where some of us veterans mention our favorite sites along the CF.

Happy planning and Buen camino!
