I did it! I walked my first Camino.

It was amazing time, full of suprises and gifts. It was a big miracle. Every day.
I did not get what I wanted, but I got what I needed.

Sometimes it was hard, sometimes I cried. But even when I cried, i was gratefull for my Way. I have never regretted I'm on Camino.
It was the best decision in my life. It was the best time of my life.

Thank you for all information and support :)

Adja, 29 days from St Jean is hard going. I'm sure there were days when you felt the little 'camino devil' on your shoulder telling you that it was too hard, too cold, too crowded, too far etc., But, you did it! Well done peregrina.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Actually, I'm quite lucky pilgrim - i didn't have problems with blisters (ok, i have one serious blister, but it was all my fault and it was gone in one day, other blisters were just annoying, but no real damage), i didn't met bed bugs (other pilgrims did met him), I didn't have problems with muscles, no health issues.

And never ever I thought that is to hard for me. Of course... it was hard sometimes...and one day i was crying all day long (mostly i was walking alone - even if i "walk" with a group, i walked alone and met a group in bar or alberg).

I guess my desire to walking Camino was so great, so it was fine whatever it comes on my way.

Ok, i admit. In first week on camino my problem was - sleeping. I could not sleep. Not even in afternoon not even in night. This was really a problem for me.

Congratulations and thank you for sharing your experience with us!!
I, like Allison, will be leaving for my first camino soon. This meant so much for me to read about your Camino. It gives me encouragement.
Big hug

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
*hugs* Congratulations! It's little posts like this that are keeping me sane through the last two months of school leading up to exams... I just keep telling myself, "Jo, only two more months then CAMINO!"

It always works.

Again, congrats!

Congratulations Adja. It was no small feat even if you think you had not faced much problems.

I will be starting my walk on Oct 1. I must admit I am a little apprehensive, with the weather, if I can walk so much so far for so many days, with oh so many little unknown details. I had walked the "W" in Patagonia in 2006 and on one of the days, I sat down on the ground and cried my eyes out. I wonder if the same may happen during my camino.

Thank you again, for sharing, and have a safe journey home. Hugs.
