I am a single female planning to walk from Porto to Santiago and due to my schedule I can either walk the last two weeks in August or the first two weeks in October. I was hoping for some advice on which is the best time? I gather the Camino Portugues is less busy and I am anxious about my safety and walking it alone, will it be too quiet in October? Will it be too hot in August?

- Camino Frances.Vasco del Interior.Camino Finisterre& Muxia. Camino Portugues. Ruta del Ebro.
October would be better. The holiday season is over, the prices go go down when September begins. The camino will be less crowded. You will have more space in October. I have walked twicw in September and it is OK also.
