My husband and I are walking the Camino Ingles - in England. We started in Reading, and will end in Southampton. At that point we will travel to Spain and walk from Ferrol to Santiago.

The stamps we are getting in England are large - we're averaging 3 to a page. The booklet is quickly filling up. So...we're taking a ferry from Plymouth to Santander. Does anyone know where in Santander we could get 2?

Failing that, is there somewhere in Ferrol? We would appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks,

Janey Canuck

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Santander, no idea but …

Tourist office in Ferrol. There are two - one on the quay and another on the Plaza de
España.

Try the one on the Quay first as it’s where the (rather made-up) ‘official’ start is.

If that fails, just extend your existing credencial with plain paper; that’s perfectly acceptable.

Later stamps can, of course, be overlaid or interspersed with earlier ones.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

You can get a credential in Santander at the Pilgrim Hostel:
If you check out the route you are on in Gronze. com it lists albergues etc that have credentials.
I wouldn't be surprised if you can find credentials at the Cathedral in Santander. Last year I got my credential at the Cathedral in Sevilla.

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

I got mine at the tourist office at the harbor near the starting point marker. But you can also get them at the Cathedral which is along the way.

Hello, everyone! I just wanted to tell you all how much we appreciated all your suggestions for dealing with our very full pilgrim passport. In the end, we just decided to fill it as full as it would go! Once we got to Spain, people were much less worried about giving every stamp its own spot on the page. They were crowded together, even stamped over each other, and the result is beautiful. The pilgrim office had no issues with it, so all it well. Our final routing for the full Camino Ingles was Reading to Southampton, ferry from Plymouth to Santander, FEVE train from Santander to Ferrol (an adventure in itself) and Ferrol to Santiago de Compostela. The pilgrim office distance certificate reads 219 kms - 102UK and 117 Spain.
We had a somewhat romantic idea of duplicating the trip a medieval pilgrim would have taken from the UK, but obviously there had to be some adjustments to the plan! That's okay, it was fun!
Buen Camino a todos!
