hello

I am starting part way through the Le Puy and I'm unsure where to collect my credential /passport. Are there limited places to collect one from?
Karen.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

Get one from a "friends of ..." association. Many countries have one, and even if there isn't one in your country they will be happy to take ypur money and send you one.

Hi @Kazcarr88 - unless you've already started or enroute, the easiest way is to buy from Ivar's shop on this forum. He'll send it to you and usually seems to get everywhere pretty quickly. The other benefit is that it is an accepted Credential which is important to ensure it is recognized by the authorities in SCD when you arrive.
Buen Caminio.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

Jozero,
Thankyou, I will purchase one from Ivar. I intend on starting in early September on the Le Puy but I still dont know where I will commence as I am joining a fellow pilgrim I met 4 years ago (on Camino Frances). Can you confirm that any hostel will "start" my credential willingly?
Karen..

The shop in the Cathedral at Le Puy has credentials and it is always nice to start a Camino with a cathedral sello. There is a pilgrim's mass each morning at 7:30 I think with a Pilgrim blessing at the end of the mass in front if a statue of St James. Worth attending even if you are not religious.

Yes, any albergue/hostel/gite will give you your first stamp willingly ;-) Bon Chemin, SY
