So, I finished CP from Porto last month, walking with my husband. In 2015, we did a good part of CF.

So now that we are back home unpacking, the questions of where to go next started. We have no idea of when we will be able to travel again, but the travelling bug bites are quite strong on us! As we usually we only manage to get 2 weeks leave, that would be a good time frame to work with.

I'm bending towards the beginning of Via de La Plata, as I would really love to visit the South of Spain and love places with lots of historical buildings. But I'm curious to hear other pilgrim's opinions. Which camino do you think is special, and why?

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

You can walk Primitivo in 2 weeks if you start at Salas. Very lovely. VDLP cuts into 3 sections of 2 weeks. You have to time yourself carefully due to extremes of weather.

Can't you do the entire Primitivo in less than 2 weeks? 12 days seems for many enough.
Probably - I had 2 weeks last year and concluded that it was leaving too little contingency to start at Oviedo, as I was starting a new job on the Monday.

The OP also has a long journey and possible jetlag to think about.

Check the transport connections and look at the stages and decide. Asturias airport bus times are on the airport website. The first day out of Oviedo was dominated by roadworks last year too, so look into that before deciding.

Indeed, it takes me +- 48 hours to get to Europe for a reasonable price. I'll do some research about the Primitivo, many people in the forum like that trail!

I have my eye on le Sentier Cathare: http://www.lesentiercathare.com/index.php

Mmm... I did not know that one! Thanks for the suggestion!

I have a confession. I am terrified of - and yes now feel free to laugh - the top bed in bunks with no railing/fence (something to stop you falling out). I've managed to get away with it except...

I was looking at the wisepilgrim app for the Frances route and noticed that the distances don't always add up from one side to the other. Has anyone else noticed this? Am I being overly observant...
