Where to begin trek?

Hi fellow adventurers,
My brother, niece, and I will be landing in Madrid on May 10 and leave Santiago on the evening of May 16. Where should we begin our shortened trek? We can walk up to 10 to 14 miles per day. Also, what transportation is available to get us to our starting point from Madrid? I really appreciate your feedback! Buen Camino, Lisa

Hi Lisa!

Where are you flying in from? (Will you be tired/jetlagged when you arrive?)

I'm initially thinking you could go to Santiago straight away and walk the route from there to Finisterre and Muxia. I've never done it myself, but everyone says it's beautiful. May would probably be a nice time for it as well. By staying close to Santiago you'll not have any worries about your flight home either. And you'll probably have a bit of time left to enjoy Santiago itself.
