Where to buy equipment

Hi everyone. Loving this thread. It is very helpful. Can anyone tell me where to buy trekking equipment in Melbourne? It would be great if there was someone employed in an outdoor store who had actually done the camino and has a sense of what is required. I plan to go next year -for the first time -and I feel a bit confused

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
My picks are Oneplanet packs and STM bags (Link shoulder bag for valuables). Both brands available all over Melbourne I believe (google)
Cheers, Grace

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Paddy Pallin (www.paddypallin.com.au), Mountain Designs (www.mountaindesigns.com), Snowgum (www.snowgum.com.au) and macpac (www.macpac.com.au) all have stores in Melbourne. I think you will be lucky to find sales people who have done a camino, but the better ones will understand enough to provide sound advice. Here in Canberra, my view is that Paddy Pallin is the pick of the crowd, and have several of their sales staff who have a good understanding of what a camino requires.
