Where to start and how to get there.

I am planning a trip for the fall of 2015 but I have no idea how to start planning it. I am planning on a 10 day trip.. Where do I find info on travel? I am seeing how people are flying into different parts of the country and taking a train and or a bus. The infrastructure is what I'm looking for I guess.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

Where to start depends on whether you think this will be your only trip to Spain or if you think you may return sometime in the future. If you are sure this will be your only trip to walk the Camino, I would start in Sarria and finish the Camino in Santiago. That way you will earn your Compestella (or certificate of completion). That would be an easy five or six day walk. If on the other hand you think you might be able to return to the Camino in the future, I would start in St. Jean Pied du Port in France and end in Logrono in Spain. That would be a seven or eight day walk. Resuming your walk at Logrono in the future would be relatively easy.

Getting to St. Jean can be a bit dicey, but there are plenty of threads on this forum discussing how to do it. My personal favorite is to fly into Paris from the United States, take the high speed train south until the connecting train to SJPP. Getting to the Camino inside of Spain usually means landing in Madrid and either taking a bus or the train to a handful of larger cities along the Camino [e.g. Pamplona, Logrono, Burgos, Leon, etc.]
