Hi all, lm starting the Mozarabe from Almeria next week Thursday and l was wondering if anyone can recommend a good place to stay in Granada , like an albergue without a lock in time , l have stayed in some during the Frances and Portuguese caminos where you got given a key or could come back anytime, just wondering as l am planning to meet up with a friend who lives there and may stay out late, buen caminos

The convent in Granada (Hermanas Comendadoras De Santiago) has strict hours, so it won't be suitable for you. Guests do not get a key to the external gate. And it has a wall that Donald Trump would be proud of. I'm pretty sure that you'd be stuck on the wrong side of it for the night if you were to come back late.

Yes would normally l would love to stay somewhere like that it sounds great , l was referring to not wanting to spend the night stuck between the outer gate and the wall, that would be a different camino experience
 
I stayed in Hostal Al Andaluz in a six bed dorm (three sturdy bunks) cost 11 euros including sheets, but no blankets, and with a very nice modern bathroom. Booked via Hostalworld. It is fairly central and has a bar. Excellent value for a major tourist attraction.
