Who was on the Camino Frances in Sept.? Need help

Dear fellow pilgrims,

on Sept. 13, a 72 year old German fellow pilgrim died in Foncebadon. His family is very distraught and is looking for any information concerning the death of Werner Effering. Does someone know anything or heard anything in regards to his death and where he might have been the day before? Many questions cannot be answered at this time by his family. If you know anything or know of someone who was in the area at this time, please let me know.

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!
Please pass condolences onto the family.
If the family have his 'credential' - pilgrims' passport - the stamps inside will give them an idea of where he stopped each day.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
I am sorry to hear this Agnes.

I think Sil's suggestion is a good one. If you look at his pilgrims passport. It looks similar to this:
http://www.pilgrimage-to-santiago.com/c ... s_passport

... you can trace his route. The stamps usually also have a date under it.

I live in Santiago de Compostela, a bit west. I have never been to Foncebadon, and I do not know anyone there. But if I can be of any help. Please let me know (ivar.rekve [at] gmail.com).

Dearest Ivar,
I thank you so much for the offer to help. I myself have just returned from the Camino. I knew Werner and I am helping the family in any way I can. They really can use any help. So many questions have not been answered yet and, not speaking Spanish, it is hard for him to have contact with certain authorities. I have to ask his son whether he understands English so that he might be able to contact you himself. If not, how can I contact you then?
Thanks
Agnes
