Wither the Weather?

Time of past OR future Camino

Aloha! I'm arriving Camino Frances from Paris and then to SJPP about 22 September. I've tried several ways to create a conversation or a thread. A newby at this, I'm clearly doing something wrong, but perhaps this Thread is 'golden' and my luck has changed.

About my query:

Weatherbase.com, a weather website, indicates average temperatures in Pamplona for October and November as 56.5 and 47.5. Average high temperature of 65.7 and 55. Average low temperature is 47.1 and 39.7. Average precipitation is 2.9 and 3.1 inches for these months. Average number of days with precipitation eight and nine days. Average relative humidity is 70 and 76 percent, respectively.

All interesting data about Pamplona, and somewhat helpful as a general rule but I'd really love to hear from you who have very recent "shoes-on-the-ground" experience in the area say .... from SJPP to Pamplona!

I hope to contribute to the forums along my way, hope not to put my foot in my mouth too many times, and want to thank Ivar and you others who manage parts of the forum. Look forward to meeting some of you very soon. Buen Camino - Nancy

I also will be starting from Pamplona on September 22, 2017. I am eager to see if you get feedback on the weather so I know how to pack for the cold if there is cold.

Aloha, Mark! — Actually I'm leaving from St. Jean Pied de Port (SJPDP or SJPP) and heading to Pamplona and beyond. I too am looking forward to replies from folks. Something in common, we have. Buen Camino!

Hi Nancy. I leave two days after you and would love the same information. I expect it will be quite warm the first week or so and then get progressively colder. Just have to prepare for both, I guess. May see you on the Way Buen Camino

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

Hi kinnear, once I arrive I'll try to remember to send you comments about the weather at that place at that day. Feel free to remind me if you wish, of my promise

I would have thought it would be warmer starting off and extra gear needed as wecwslk though October. Is the Pyrennes likely cold later September?

Assuming things go well, I'll be starting about then too. The weather will determine if I start from SJPdP or Roncevalles.
I've done the day one walk in very high winds and really don't want to repeat that. Rain would be fine, but gale force winds...no.

I'm in Burgos right now. Last night it was Cold! Tomorrow the Forecast low is 36f / 2c I needed my coat to walk around in the evening and warm clothes. I will buy a lightweight scarf and gloves here I think. Two days ago I was sweltering and reapplying the factor 50 sunscreen. You will need to prepare for all eventualities!

Thank you, Nicola, for the useful and timely iinformation! And I'm sorry to hear you are cold! A beastly feeling. Sending warm thoughts your way!
