Hi perigrinos/nas all,
We are in Salamanca right now and seeing the scallop sign at the Peunte Romana crossing the River Duero brings back all the fond memories of the Camino. It's only a month ago but we do miss our time on the trail so much.
Wonder how you guys/gals are doing right now on the camino. We are driving through Castille y Leon (again)and the harvested wheat field looks so dry and parched by the sun. No more red poppies or pretty wild flowers along the way and at 39 degree C as early as 11 am in this area, it would be tough to walk the Meseta.
Take heart (and the heat if you must) and persevere until Galicia. Weather forecast for the good old Galicia is still rain and more rain. I bet you will get lashed trekking up O Cebreio same as we all did and enjoyed.
