After leaving As Seixas you walk up the hill towards the village of Casacamiño when you reach Casacamiño you will have Casa Camiño Casa Rural directly in front of you (yes l am the owner before someone writes in).
You are now on what you could call a 'T" junction. you should turn right here and go up the hill, not left down the hill towards Palas de Rei, as so many Pilgrims do daily.
Everyday we try to direct dozens of Pilgrims who are lost and/or going down the hill in the wrong direction. You can get to O' Hospital das Seixas this way but it is longer. All of the walking is road and it it is not the way of the Camino Primitivo.
When you nearly reach the top of the hill where the stone wall finishes on your left you must then turn left over the top of mountain then down to O'Hospital das Seixas. There is a marker up there but it is badly placed and easily missed. If you miss this marker and go straight on you go in a very large circle and end up back outside Casa Camiño Casa Rural where you were 20 minutes before. This not what you want to be doing on a cold wet windy day as one French Pilgrim did a couple of weeks ago, 3 times before asking for help.
We have walked up to marker on the hill many times with pilgrims to show them it does exist. In fairness the markers are badly placed but they are there, so you have to concentrate on this section for ten minutes to avoid those extra kilometers.
The strange thing is that as l sit here writing this l have just had to direct a group of pilgrims on the right route, there you go help in real time.
Bon Camiño.
