This one always puts a smile on my face, it is the first time I had arrived in Santiago and met by chance some people I had been walking with a few days earlier. Had an incredible feeling of happiness to be here, there had a been more than a couple of occasions on the camino when I nearly gave up.

Some lovely photos, I hope this thread continues for a while! Quite simple, but this is my favourite photo. Taken on the Via De La Plata as it enters the outskirts of Santiago and drops down to the Sar district.

Why does every photo opportunity in Spain have a telephone wire slapped across it?

Saludos
Mig

Mig, I hear you about the telephone wires, haha! That, and (unfortunately) trying to get beautiful Camino views without pilgrim trash in the background can be a real challenge sometimes.

A very kind man (stand up Javier) has gone around removing telephone cables electronically. Look what he did to my previous picture.

Now you see them....

Mig and Javier, the telephone wire removal is brilliant! If only there could be a telephone-wire sensing camera lens that could take a photo without wires in it to begin with! ;)

Ian!!!! How am I supposed to only choose one favourite Camino photo?!

But here is a fun favourite, of a place that makes me laugh every time (and it's extra fun to arrive there when pilgrims who've never seen it before are encountering it for the first time)...

One more time on the Pilgrim Jungle Gym on the way into Astorga!! :D

Ha ha! Don't get us all arguing about cameras! We have enough with socks, blisters and walking poles etc! :D

The camera will be fine I'm sure. Your camera is one of the few things you carry of any value, so from the security point of view you don't want anything too expensive or eye-catching. As it's your sister's, that's even better! :D

Buen Camino!
