  1. No, you do not need to be baptized to get a pilgrim’s passport. People from all different cultures and faiths walk the camino. It is only at Santiago when you are receiving your compostela that you will officially be asked your reasons for walking, but no evidence is required. If you tell them you walked for religious reasons, you will be issued one compostela (a christian indulgence), if you say that you walked for other reasons, you will be issued a different one. That’s it. 🙂 No worries.
