Pilgrim Podcast – Pilgrims needed

Pilgrim Podcast

I have been thinking about this for a while now, and decided that now would be a good time to get started with a pilgrim podcast. After seeing the amount of pilgrims in the forum that are arriving to Santiago in the next few months I decided to give it a try.

Here is my idea:

Invite a pilgrim (maybe you?) for a coffee and record a 10-15 minute conversation about their experience after just arriving to Santiago. Put it all up here on the website for everyone to learn from it.

Sounds simple, and I think it would give us another dimention tot he forum and the community we have created here.

So if you are walking and planning to arrive in Santiago in the next few months, and would be interested in participating… please let me know. E-mail me at: ivar.rekve [at] gmail.com (change the [at] with the @ sign).

I am excited about this!

Greetings from Santiago,

  1. Great idea, Ivar! After being in Spain for 10 days I’m amazed at the number and variety of posts to read on the Forun. I was thrilled to be able to find the information I wanted in Madrid based on what forum members told me. It is truly a wealth of information. What a blessing to have such a wonderful site. Thank you!
    Buen Camino,

  2. Hi Ivar

Great idea. But what is that amazing piano music you used?

    Best regards

  3. Hi Ivar
Usually I’m not a podcast subscriber but I think it is a very good idea.
As I understood you’re going to meet pilgrims who just finished camino. Those people will have a fresh memoirs from the way they can share with somebody who is maybe two days behind.
You know how important is an information it can save a lot of energy when albergue is closed or a lot of problems with bed bugs or unpleasant hospitalero.
It also can give a moral bust for those who struggling with blisters, weaknesses. Somebody who just finished camino can say that he/she is a normal human being who just walk 800 km and it is possible to do it.
After listening to intro You’ve just made I’m quite sure it will be made very professional way.
    Good luck
