I am going on the camino for the first time next may/June from Dublin and was wondering if I get the two stamps here and one in Leon if I’m starting walking from astorga I’ll have two weeks to do it will it be enough time thinking 25 k a day thanks
Looking for peoples’ advice on the matter of the credencial. We start our Camino in Ponferrada next weekend, but won’t arrive there till about 10pm (we have a hotel booked for that night), so the main albergue will surely be closed by then. We plan to start walking the following morning.
What I’m wondering is whether to try to get a credencial here in Dublin before we leave (we may be able to get a last minute one), or to go to the main albergue in Ponferrada early the next morning to get one? We don’t want to waste time, but I guess it could be done quite quickly.
Starting in May 2014, you can get the official Pilgrims Passport (also called the Credencial) from the Pilgrims Office in Santiago de Compostela here in our Camino Forum Store:
