My wife and I have only 15 walking days to work with for our planned camino starting in April. Since we do not have time for the whole thing, we thought we might walk the beginning and the end, and just take a train through the middle. So, perhaps SJPdP to Pamplona, and then Astorga to Santiago. For those of you who have been before, is there any reason why this might be a bad idea?
If one wanted to skip the meseta what would that look like? Is it simply the stretch between Burgos and Leon? I heard from a Camino veteran that you would need to make this decision at the beginning as there are no buses once you’re in (on?) it.
Others have written how they liked the meseta and wouldn’t have missed it. Comments?
….we have about 25 days before flying from Santiago de Compostella back home, we know it is impractical, if not impossible to do the whole thing in that time, so the question is what section should we miss out?
