If this were in Ireland, and the bridge had a twist - it might be the one referred to in the sign that warns: Skew Bridge Ahead, leaving Cork city! There is a small twist to this one so I ask members who know to give the others a small clue rather than an outright answer.View attachment 81582
Could it be: There was a time when there was not enough water under the bridge?small clue
Or a certain kind footing?Could it be: There was a time when there was not enough water under the bridge?
The hill looks familiar but not the bridge.
Is the bridge actually 'on' a Camino route?
Or 'near' a Camino route?
But it is on the Camino Frances - one walks over the river. How about a wee clue, @RENSHAW?
Is it the medieval bridge after Cirauqui but before Lorca on the CF ? It's restored now but I think this might be and old photo prior to the reno. There is a small twist to this one so I ask members who know to give the others a small clue rather than an outright answer.View attachment 81582

Rgds,

Right after Cirauqui, the bridge only has one arch, not two. Good try.after Cirauqui
Is it the Puente sobre Rio Salado?

Could you perhaps share your short cut Margret and you and I are are fans of small detours.I confess to not knowing the answer because I always take the short cut along the road between Cirauqui and Lorca

I wish I knew about this short cut, the walk out of Cirauqui was the hottest day on the CF for me.I need a bit of help from Mr Brierley here .
I get on the red road when the path crosses it just outside Cirauqui, and I stay on the red road until the path crosses back again just before Lorca. The road is VERY quiet as 99% of the traffic is on the blue freeway alongside.

Are there more arches which are not shown in the picture? There is a small twist to this one so I ask members who know to give the others a small clue rather than an outright answer.View attachment 81582
Oh, I did just that the last time I was there! Never saw a single car on that roadI need a bit of help from Mr Brierley here .

Nope , only two.Are there more arches which are not shown in the picture?
........... I think @Theatregal nailed it.
She did indeed, without naming it.but I think @Theatregal nailed it.
Is this on the old Roman route after CarrionSmall in structure but historic - during it's day it was mighty in purpose as the only way to cross this particular river on the Roman road.
No. It is an old Roman route but on the Primitivo. Is this on the old Roman route after Carrion
de Los Condes?
And I think I found your bridge with a google search, [USER=22852]@Theatregal , but maybe someone knows it from memory. There's an Albergue named after it nearby, right?
Enjoying this bridge game! ... Let me challenge y'all with a beautiful Romanesque puente de peregrinos -- rebuilt in the 16th C -- that very few of you will have actually seen or crossed! Where is it ?
Would this be near a big old train station, not much used today?
Canfranc estacion!

Hey, Rev, we're just warming up.That was quicker than I expected
I apologize if I missed someone's post, I am going to make a correction to the identification of the location of Rappahannack's bridge, it is at Canfranc, not Canfranc Estacion two different places.
Truethe chicken bridge is somewhere on the Baztan/Vasco route.
Haha. Thunderous silence. So...at least people who've replied on this thread have walked right past it. And who knows how many lurkers?More specifically?
Twas all stepping stones and rock in my days.
I wonder who can recognize this post-modernist "puente de peregrinos"
It is sort of famous, hard to avoid, bouncy, and about 20 cm (8 inches) wide!
Instead of revealing the location, please tell which method you used to cross it
Yes it is! This is the first stage from Seville to Guillena. Congrats!is yours crossing the Arroyo dos Molinos on the Via de la Plata?
I think it's been there for 3 years. Sometimes if there is no rain for some time, the stream dries out and you can walk right through it. You may not even notice this iron thing because it is a bit on the right side.Twas all stepping stones and rock in my days.
That's OK. All bridges are game.I've just seen that this is in the Camino Francés forum
Is it the same as this one? (If so, the mojon kinda gives it away.)And I've just seen that this is in the Camino Francés forum, so I'll add one that everyone should recognise:
This ‘bridge’ is the bane of my caminos. I cannot walk across it without holding onto someone’s hand - the last time it was a fine German fellow who had joined the Frances off the Primitivo. Before entering this wooded area, there is a large billboard/sign showing an alternative but listing this as the recommended route.
Is it the same as this one? (If so, the mojon kinda gives it away.)
It's embarrasing to admit that I can't remember if there are two or not. Mine's at 62km, so the mojon says....I wonder if these are different rock stepping stone bridge
No, it’s not the same spot. There are actually quite a few places with stepping stone walkways alongside wet spots. Is it the same as this one? (If so, the mojon kinda gives it away.)
Many changes I think, in this neighbourhood since this one was built!!!
Well it is near a playground and yet not far from a spectacular castle (that I missed). Many changes I think, in this neighbourhood since this one was built!!!

I'm not expecting many to have seen this bridge as it is on a little walked camino (that's a hint if you are inquisitive enough). Mainly, like the chicken bridge, I posted the picture because the bridge was so cute.
Looks like the crossing of the Río Catasol after MelideAnd I've just seen that this is in the Camino Francés forum, so I'll add one that everyone should recognise:

Is still not located, but @Darby67 , you get the win on @Kanga's puzzle, so it's your turn to post a bridge! The chicken bridge
At the entry to Siguero?? That's a wild guess from memory. I draw a blank.Where is this bridge and lovely resting place on the Inglés?
Yep, Segura. The ermita should be here: 43.00457, -2.26286(@Rick of Rick and Peg... hee hee ...since it's the successful solvers who post the next bridge you need to find that chicken bridge. Then we can get cracking on your puzzler...)
Really, I posted that bridge for its cuteness. I don't really want to give hints or tell of hits and misses.Bingo! I figured you'd run with that Rick.
Yours...umm...
Yes, it's different. Hang on...working on it.
Maybe it is here.Well it is near a playground and yet not far from a spectacular castle (that I missed).
That is why I didn't tell. Just in case someone DID want to try.And if you don't want to field our random guesses, will you pretty please tell us where it is?
Edit...But I have to say I'm having fun looking...
No. But close enough to win the cigar. It is in Loarre but it is the bridge just to the north of the bridge you indicated (crossing the same creek). The map below shows both bridges.Maybe it is here.
42.313898,-0.623502
I recommend that the Catalán be walked in the spring though. Too much brown in plowed up fields in the autumn and the fruit trees should be spectacular in bloom. This looks like a wonderful camino, by the way; I'm surprised it is so rarely mentioned. And that is some castle!
We actually have 2 bridges in play. @Theatregal's is still lost, and looking for its location.
It continues to amaze me how - starting with very little information - it's possible to zoom in on a very precise location. But close enough to win the cigar.
Just before entering town,
So, not Siguero? At the entry to Siguero?? That's a wild guess from memory. I draw a blank.
I saw the name on maps as Segura. So, not Siguero?
So, not Siguero?
I walked from A Coruña, so may have missed it.No, it's 2 or 3 stages before Siguero
I walked from A Coruña, so may have missed it.
Not Larrasoana. The two walks I’ve passed by Larrasoana without entering. Think of a municipality you have to walk through and a bridge if you stay to the marked route you will eventually cross. Is this "cleaned up" bridge at Larrasoana?
Well, not necessarily a dead giveaway, but yes I think it would be pretty easy to deduce with memory and some research. And @Darby67, were those give-away clues that you erased?
I'll make a wild guess and say the bridge atZubiri(never mind...it's clearly not that one).
Getting warmerIs it the bridge over the rio Sadar as you leave Pamplona for Cizur Menor?
Bingo! And the magic word would have been payaso for that crazy fountain! Is this the pedestrian bridge in Villatuerta over the rio Irantzu? The photo would have been shot from the calle San Salvador looking towards calle Ozaldu.
