The explanation that sticks in my mind (I have no idea where I heard it, and no reference for it - possibly Brierly’s Camino Finisterra guidebook) is that the circle represents Santiago de Compostela and that the lines indicate that “all paths lead to SdC”. The arrow fletchings, of course...
Aha! That’s exactly what my Camino was - low budget and, well....what is “civilized” anyway? It was grand to be away from what passes as “civil” at home, and to enjoy the simple civility of the Chemin. I loved it!

Forget the Euros. Take bitcoin. And as far as distance goes, please walk in leagues or furlongs in order to make it feel shorter or longer. Your choice. Pack weight is measured in stone. A three stone pack is sensible. It sounds light.
