    I use Patagonia z2 poles pull apart but remained connected in 3 pieces weigh 9 ounces small enough lengthwise to fit in 36 liter pack. I started using poles at age 63 now 73 . Saved falls many times- don’t use them for day hiking and sometimes fold and carry them on easy terrain

    I did the Norte in aug there is plenty of accommodation with more opening all the time. Use the newer albergues better cleaner about the same price. I carry only a 5 Oz 150 gym silk sheet sleeping sack for cleanliness. You absolutely do not need and should not carry a sleeping bag

    Marie couldn’t agree more I tend to walk the less peopled Caminos and the last thing I want to hear is buzzing over my head. Keep your memories on your phone or go pro.
