I'm planning to leave from Vancouver, Canada at the last week of July to walk the two weeks Porto to Santiago. I'm not sure if I should book a flight and land in Madrid then take a train to Porto, Portugal. Or have a direct flight to Porto. What would be the best way????

The comments are really helping. I lightened my pack. I'm now not taking a sleeping pad, Face mask, gloves, chucks, vneck shirt, sleeping bag ( still not sure).
