    planning to walk the Camino Portuguese next year

    I'm planning to leave from Vancouver, Canada at the last week of July to walk the two weeks Porto to Santiago. I'm not sure if I should book a flight and land in Madrid then take a train to Porto, Portugal. Or have a direct flight to Porto. What would be the best way????

    The comments are really helping. I lightened my pack. I'm now not taking a sleeping pad, Face mask, gloves, chucks, vneck shirt, sleeping bag ( still not sure). Im getting first aid along with some super glue. The cellphone light is a great idea tho my phones led light is super bright...

    I'm bringing a pair of Teva duster 2 hiking sandals. All weather sandals that work great in the shower. Still durable and breathable to walk the Camino and walk around town with.
