    I always pack my lightweight Frogg Togg rain pants on early Spring caminos and have used them a few times on each one because I hate being cold...and hot, which is why I never walk in summer.

    Naw. . . I just pulled it out of thin air. I guess installing solar systems on homes and RVs and dealing with charge controllers from 12 to 48v and inverter/charger installs on multi Kw/Hr battery banks made me forget my place. Sorry.

    66 yo with 50 years of back issues. Walking with a pack always HELPS my back. Whether Camino, AT or other, I'm always better after the hiking. I certainly wouldn't try anything new just before starting a trip. I leave in 2 weeks 😀
