With theamount of pilgrms about i would double check. I arrived on saturday at a bout 2pm and was lne of the last beds they had. It took basic to a new level but it was a bed. Others taxied to pamplona to find a bed.
Roncevaux on Saturday night was full by 1.30 ish, couldnt get a bed between there and pamplona on sunday so needed to taxi to pamplona. There are so many people!!!
When I was in Barcelona I couldn't find a pedestrian walk way out of the airport. Caught a local bus into our hotel. Cheap then We trained it to leon but if you have lots of time.
Just booked my tickets and bought new boots. I'm starting from SJPDP (to Burgos) around the end of April. It is my second time but went from Leon to Finisterra, last time. This time I have ankle issues so I will be slow but I have plenty of time.

I couldn't do it. But I wasn't that fit last time. My longest day was 32km at the end when I had some additional fitness. I also got the largest blister as a direct result.
Just finished and did it in 19 days. Thought it would be quicker but didn't foresee shin splints and the time it took my older body (52) to adapt. We did however make it to the coast in 3.5 days so my body did adapt eventually. I had allowed 20 days and expected to have a couple of days off. But...
