    Thanks for all the above replies … another slightly related query. Can I get away with NOT carrying a sleeping bag on the Le Puy route? My preference is to stay in gives or chamber d'hotes that offer communal meals, but I don't want to carry a sleeping bag/heavy pack. Thanks again, Jim in Sydney
