Oviedo Cathedral - No longer free to pilgrims?

Cathedral and stamp were free in June. Upstairs and the museum had a fee. Boun Camino, Irish

    Tea on the go

Coils work a lot faster in Europe - 220v instead of 110v. Buen Camino

    Worth carrying a water filter?

I carry a tiny dropper bottle with Clorox (3 drops to a liter) for questionable water. Buen Camino, Noel

    Tea on the go

Inox is stainless steel. My mug (Sunwill) is made with this. I got the larger version to fit the coil and some tea bags inside. The smaller one is lighter of course but the coil won’t fit inside for storage.

    Tea on the go

Carla, sorry I haven’t heard of inox. My mug and coil weigh 1lb. which is a little under 500 grams, I think. Buen Camino, Irish/Noel

    Tea on the go

I too like me sup of tea. There are plenty of bars/cafes on the CF and probably most other Caminos. I carry a coil and tea bags (Barry's) in an insulated mug (Sunhill) to use when I reach my destination when most cafes etc. are still closed. Buen Camino, Noel

    Scrubba Bag

Joodie, thanks for mentioning the Scrubba. Hadn't heard of it but just ordered the pack - a bit heavier than the bag but can be used as a backpack around town or for slackpacking. Buen Camino, Noel

    Fisterrana & Muxiana

In 2012 they told me at the Pilgrim office in Santiago that our walk had to finish in Santiago (in other words walk from Muxia back). We got passports in Muxia at the tourist office.

Anyone on Via de la Plata in Oct.?

Thank you, Bernice. Hope you are well. I did locate Melanie's app on Sutro Media. Haven't found Peter Robinson's maps yet but am working on it. I plan to start walking from Seville about April 9, 2016 so I should beat the hot weather and most facilities should be open. Gracias, Noel

Bernice, where can I find the Melanie Mc Manus app? I tried Apple's App Store - no joy. Thanks, Noel
