    Poles have failed - help!

The locking mechanism inside the pole has gotten smooth from use. Take the pole apart and use a knife or sandpaper to roughen the surface of the plastic piece that expands in the barrel. You should be good to go. Buen Camino.

    Epipen storage

However you decide to cool it, be careful where you put it. Accessibility is of prime importance, you need to get to it quickly when you need it. You also might want to share its location and operation with your traveling companions. Buen Camino!

    Getting from Santiago to Lisbon

Unfortunately, the train system doesn’t work very well. It’s quite awkward. You have a long time in Vigo between trains. Take a look at the ALSA buses. These are nice buses, not very expensive and have several departures a day. You can download the Alsa app on your phone to purchase tickets when...

Vila do Conde to São Pedro de Rates

It certainly isn’t terrible. The river portion is nice. I used Mapy.cz and I was happy to have it as the initial markings are very sparse. The Mapy.cz app is free. It has an outdoor layer, which shows the entire Camino. Download the Portugal and Galicia Mabs, and you will not need data service...

    Porto to Vila do Conde

No, none at all. The metro takes about 30 minutes from town center. I used the Mercato station in Matosinhos. You have to purchase a ticket plus your fare for the first ride. After that, just top it up. There is a placard with all of the stops. But the zone indicated next to the stop name. Buy...

    Porto to Vila do Conde

Yes, I walked this stage in April and it was very pleasant. It's a relatively long stage, so I walked to Matosinhos the day I arrived and took the metro back to my hotel in Porto. The next day, I took the metro back to Matosinhos, with my pack and walked to Vila do Conde. The walk from Vila do...

USA to Madrid, Madrid to Cairo separate tickets

The minimum connecting time in Madrid for international flights is published as 60 minutes. You are an international transit passenger, so are not required to go through immigration s or customs. Hopefully, there won’t be any additional security, either, but Egypt flights may have additional...

Breaking Up the Walk from Porto to Vila do Conde

The first part of the Litoral is beautiful, you shouldn't miss it. You can hike from to Matosinhos, without a pack and take the. metro back to Porto for the overnight. Take the metro again the next morning back to Matosinhos to resume. You could actually do the same for the day from Matosinhos...
