The camino ninja app says Casa de Fernanda is closed for the season, yet also says they're an all season place to stay. I'm hoping to stay there next week, and I'm not able to call because I don't have a portuguese SIM yet
Thanks :)
I just booked a flight to Lisbon on October 4th... Camino #2 here we go!!!!! My friend and I were having a little trouble deciding whether or not to do the CF or try out the CP. I think we're gonna go for the CP!
I just have one question. On the CF, I didn't bring a sleeping bag, and ended up...
I stayed in Zubiri, at Rio Arga Ibaia right after the bridge. Zubiri for me is one of my favourite towns that I visited. The river is a lovely place to sit, soak your feet in the cold water, and write in your journal/read a book.
I also had the best (and one too many ) sangria at...
Last year, my friend and I were getting close to the halfway point to Santiago from St. Jean, outside of a fairly bigger city (I forget the name, you all the know the place, right?), when we were approached by a girl who looked to be a bit older than us, and her boyfriend (who I thought was her...
that would be a nope! lol
I am thinking I will do similar as to what David says. Set up a plan with my mother, where I will only reply every 3 days or so.
I have to agree with Pricilla as well. I found myself a little addicted to showing people on the internet about my journey. Only to...
I think my mother might just kill me if I turn my phone off completely during my next Camino, lol.
Though I wish I could just turn it all off. Be 100%, completely immersed in every aspect of the way.
The first (lol) wall happened on the very first day, in Roncesvalles. The Pyrenees are freakin hard. I knew that, and I knew that it wouldn't be easy. But, my lord, I walked into Ronvesvalles bleeding, tired, sunburnt, and crying. The excitement of the Camino wore off pretty quickly, and it was...
I do expect it to be quite from Lisbon to Porto, though I am hoping to meet just a few people at least lol. On the CF, I found there was sometimes too many people when walking. In the albergues, I didn't mind them being full of other pilgrims, but I remember staying in spots along the trail for...
I am having a tough time deciding whether or not to do the CF again or CP.
I will be going in October most likely with a friend, and it will be her first Camino. If we do the CP, we would start in Lisbon. If we do the CF, I will probably start in Pamplona, and she can decide if she wants to...
If I were you, I'd take an extra day in St. Jean.
My friend and I arrived at around 5pm, however we both were fairly tired (and a little dirty) from the travelling we did beforehand, so we decided not leave the next morning. We stayed in St. Jean an extra day, to clean everything and get...
