    Beds on Madrid

I stayed in Casa de la Paca. Decent room and breakfast. Coca deserves a close visit, and the walk out of town is among the nicest stretches of this camino. Good luck!

    Beds on Madrid

Just finished the Madrid yesterday. Absolutely georgeous. Very few pilgrims, plenty of free beds in the albergues and hostals except Coca. But call ahead, and be flexible on the planning ahead.

    Madrid. Cercedilla to La Granja

Cercedilla to La Granja, probably one of the most scenic walks of any Camino. But be aware, the the place where to take off (Bifurcation) to La Granja is poorly marked. We missed it and ended up in Segovia.

    Camino Madrid - accommodation, etc.

I and two friends start from Tres Cantos on 4 September. I checked the albergue in Coca a few days ago (called) and was told it is closed. We are staying in an appartment there. Looking forward to walking this route, only heard great things about it! Cheers.

    Camino Catalan

I was about to embark on the camino from Llançá, whcich you so wonderfully describe in your post from 2015. But my friend and I had agreed to do the Barcelona and then it was natural to continue on the Catalan. There were some truly beautiful parts, and very lonely. In Cervera I felt like a...

    Camino Catalan

Started in Barcelona on 10 April. Very hard to find the marked trail the first three days, via Sant Cugat and Terassa. Lovely streches but plan carefully, easy to get lost. From Montserrat, where the Albergue is a treat, very high standard, the next three days to Tarrega are well marked and...
