The Pieterpad in Holland strays into Germany for a little bit between Spijk and Braamt, as it is a shortcut. In 2017 it was a surprise to run into a steel job identifying the path I was on as the way to Santiago.

Was on a hike on easter sunday in the Dün, a small hillrange in Thuringia near Bad Heiligenstadt. What a nice surprise to find several mojones in the forest (parts of Via Regia and Loccum-Volkenroda and the soon to be established Eichsfeld...

I’m on the Via Imperii at the moment, to date I’ve covered over 250km, and have yet to see another pilgrim. So imagine how I felt when I came across this today: Stamp, drinks, guest book…
