Hi - wet feet wont kill you and will soon dry in a warm climate, I use a mesh topped shoe and only if conditions are REALLY bad will I put on a pair of waterproof socks (your plastic bags would be fine for short periods). The truth is waterproof shoes let in water at the top, soon start to leak...
Hi can anyone help with advice/experience about continuing southwards by walking the Vía De la Plata in reverse? hopefully reaching Santiago end of September. Especially interested in weather/camping/routefinding.. Thanks!
Thanks - what weather should we expect? I've been in the south of Spain at christmas and it was very mild - like a nice UK spring!!! I expect west Portugal would be wetter/colder in Nov/Dec though? Are there good long distance trails in Portugal?
Hi hopefully walking Sep/Oct next year and will have Nov/Dec free also, is it feasible to continue walking south maybe ending Algarve or even Costa del Sol? Would prefer reasonably waymarked trails but anything would be given a try!
