Hi Fran, I live in Sydney(Bundeena) and did my first Camino in May / June this year and am planning on going back in 2018 to do same again or maybe a slightly different route. I walked onto Finnesterre after two nights in Santiago which I highly recommend. I have a fabulous time and met some...
Hi Linda
I am flying out of Sydney on Sunday to Paris then to Biarritz and will start my Camino on 5th May walking to Orisson.
I had my sensible hair cut last week and managed to put a little colour into it too. Hopefully we will meed up somewhere along the way.
Buen Camino !!
Hi Nanc
If it is any consolation I will be arriving in PAR from Sydney and have 3.5 hours to get to Orly too. I took the suggestion of another forum member and purchased my bus ticket on line and printed both airport maps out so that I will have some idea of where to head once I disembark. I am...
Hi Bill, thanks for the advice. I have just purchased my bus ticket CDG-ORY online and printed it and the airport map out. I have 3 hours to get from a to b and now feel much more confident that It wont be a hassle. This time in 2 weeks I will be in Biarritz ! :)
Its a fine line between training hard enough and overdoing it isn't it o_O
FYI I am wearing boots(tried 3 different pairs :D) and taking hiking sandals for plane travel and evenings. I can also walk in them if I want a break from the boots. I guess the boots will just have to get squashed into...
Hi Joodle, I am 57 and am leaving for my first Camino in 33 days and I feel your anxiety. I am reasonably fit and have been walking with my 9kg pack for the last month or so. I too have done the odd Tri, a few years back and I am now walking about 20km both days every weekend. I was feeling...
This comment made me laugh out loud, It is SO true. You put my thoughts into words beautifully.
I have 6 weeks to go and am packing and re packing every weekend - and loving it ! (as Max would say):D
Hi Seabird, I am so pleased to know that your pack weight is more than 4.5kgs! I dont know how anyone can do it :rolleyes:I was getting a little worried that I cant get under 9kgs, I feel so much better now :) I have printed your list and will use it as my check list. I have 6 weeks to go before...
I agree and would like to say thank you too. I received my book and passport in under 2 weeks and am very happy with both. It is a bit smaller than the Brierley guide book which does make it easier to fit into your pocket or bum bag.
Hi Seabird, excuse my ignorance but do I need to buy an adaptor (to plug into the power point in Spain) to go with this charger ? All I am taking is my IPHONE and I need to purchase correct power socket/adaptor to be able to charge it.
Thank you !
Julie
