MI find it hard to believe that someone occasionally walking with headphones, listening to music or a podcast while walking, will receive nothing from their Camino.

MYes, I agree; that does get tiresome. I don't wear headphones or earbuds on the Camino, but with the exception of a blasting boombox or continual loud conversations on cell phones, it doesn't matter to me what other people choose to do or not do.
