    Water on the Camino Frances

    I'm in Roncesvalles now having just taken the valcarlos route. The section from valcarlos is very, very steep and there are no fountains. Take at least a litre of water, if not more. By the way, the valcarlos route is stunning.........

    Last minute jitters

    Kerstin, we are also leaving SJPP on Friday this week. If it is any consolation we feel exactly the same way. I hope we will meet up somewhere before Santiago and reflect on how silly we were to be so worried about the small things!

    Where did you walk today?

    I'm with you Gailsie. Terrible winter in Nova Scotia and it has really affected our training routine. We are due to start from SJPP in 9 weeks and I need the snow to stop so I can get at least semi fit!

    Hi Did you buy that Sim card before you left the USA or did you buy it in Spain??? My Spanish is pretty basic but it seems like it asks for a Spanish form of id to process the order
