Morning
As we approach this time of year I invariably start to think of my beloved dad. At the same time I think about doing the camino. Then I realize I don't have enough holidays. Then I put it off. So I'm now seriously considering a life change in the hope I can complete it and perhaps find...
Thanks Theatregal, just the kind of facts I was after.
Fitness wise I'm in decent shape because I do a fair amount of cycling, I've decided the camino deserves walking not cycling .........so should be up to it.
Your trip dates sound like the time when I plan to go so many thanks again for...
Thanks for the heads up. I've got time to plan so exploring all options at the moment. I guess the worse that could happen is there are so many of us doing it in August that either it becomes very expensive or a tent will come in handy! I've tried to unsee the post you made that mentioned ra*s -...
Thanks for the speedy reply. The avatar is much smilier than the real me though about to change it! Time is my only real constraint in that I just don't have the 30+ days, I think you need, for the Frances route. My holidays are a few days of July and all of August, so not impossible but if...

My heart says walking not cycling, which was my original thought, suits el camino more so I think I've dealt with that battle now.
One of my reasons for doing the walk - and probably why I'm so reflective - is to...
Thanks for all the replies. My heart says walk but I just don't think I will have the holiday time. My head says bike but also that that's not really the spirit. Still undecided.
Cheers Sraeen
I've done quite a bit of cycling so used to hills but I'm torn between doing it this way versus walking. How long did it take you to walk the distance?
A few initial questions;
1. Time of year for me is likely to be August 2014 only, any advice on this as a possibility?
2. Are cyclists frowned upon plus are they less likely to find places to stay? (I understand camping not really an option)
3. Any feedback from cyclists who have done it...
