Mosquitos!

Mosquitoes (and biting gnats) only do two things, and do them really well: 1. find mammals (such as people) by smelling their breath and their skin 2. make more mosquitoes Mosquitoes can only smell carbon dioxide from your breath and your skin chemicals. They cannot smell perfume, food, roses...

Did ANYBODY take crappy equipment

@DougF, your packing included "four x trekking socks, two x liner socks". Why 4 heavy socks and 2 thin ones? I am interested in your reasoning/experience - my first thought would have been to pack the opposite combination. Regards, Peter

Planning to walk El Camino Frances in late May of 2013

My daughter and I will also be starting our camino about that time. Small world - we live near Washington, DC. Buen Camino.
