    Tent Vs. No Tent

I wouldn't take a tent unless you have some specific reason to. Lots of indoor sleeping options. There are many threads on here on the topics of how to decide where and when to sleep...

Only back 1 day and my heart is still there.

Been back a month and sure do miss some of the people I met. I miss the walking but my toes needed a rest

    Catastrophe in Bilbao

On most buses they're going to make you stow it in the hold

    Comfortable mens underwear

I like those exoficios. Undies with elastic around the legs cause chafing. Using that Vaseline that's good for your toes would also be useful on your legs

    How Dangerous are the Pyrenees?

The only danger is that you have too much stuff in your backpack. I never replaced any of the items I lost along the way - indicating I didn't need them in the first place! For example - pair of shorts when the weather was always cold (the month of May) not needed!

Things that I would do differently

How do you people with one pair of light shoes get through the mud? When I went over the Pyrenees the mud before "the leaves" was six inches deep.

    Catastrophe in Bilbao

Heard of this in South America. I always try to sit over the hold on the side my pack is on

What worked for me was leaving early (because I like to walk at sunrise and liked the solitude of the early morning) and stopping relatively early. That allowed for laundry, showering, and a nice rest. I also made late lunch my main...

Things that I would do differently

I wouldn't change much. I'd take less electronic gear. Really, a communicator with a built in camera is all one needs. I also wouldn't walk 40km (did it twice) in any single day - it turned those days into unpleasant experiences. I'd also eat more pinxtos in Logrono and Burgos! Started in SJPDP...

LIVE from the Camino I'm here!!

10 hours. Really long uphill. Last section muddy steep downhill. Everyone i was around was worn out but feeling better after a shower. We did a shorter day today to regenerate. I used a stick, my wife poles. Would recommend one or the other! There's a lot of walking left after Orisson - for me...

Made it from SJPDP to Roncevaux yesterday. Tough 10 hour day. The Camino is VERY muddy in certain sections - be careful on the final 1.5 km
