Camino del Norte, tent or no tent??

I had no idea one might need a tent walking the Norte. I walked the Oviedo which is even more remote than Norte and had no problems with finding Albergues. Is it common to take a tent on the Norte? I've not heard this. Thanks!

Sadly.....an American pilgrim has died on the way to Roncesvalles.

I remember meeting this man and his wife. We left SJPP on the same morning.

I probably won’t do this again

The kind of device you order is worthless. I had a dentist make a snore guard mouth device. It’s excellent. I sleep well. My fellow pilgrims are happy and so is my wife. I will return next year for my 3rd camino.

    Giving Up on the Primitivo

I walked the Primitivo when I was 63 and enjoyed it. I walked around in 15 days around 12-15 miles a days. The hills will kick your ass but if you are in shape you’ll be fine. It’s a beautiful walk. I plan to do it again beginning on the Norte. Roy

    Giving Up on the Primitivo

This is exactly what I did - from Ovideo - in June 2017. It was marvelous in every good way. Met many people and have some lasting Camino friends.
