My wife and I did the C/F in '22 with Altra lone peak mids- only issue was the lack of a rock-plate. the new model has a thicker mid-sole = so that issue has been eliminated. Starting Camino Frances from SJPP April 27th/ 2022 ..

Janice and I will be starting on the 28th as well - but spending the first nite in Orrison. Going to try to work into this slowly as we will be all over France the month prior - which will limit or ability to keep our miles up:-) Sure we will cross pass with this group sometime!!- scubabill13

I just switched from LP to Solomon x-ultra's - I too have hobbit feet- and they come in extra wide sizes- otherwise not! my main complaint was the lack of a decent rock-plate on the early models and the poor rock-plate on the latter models.
