I live in Devon, so my plan is to walk the south west coast path to Plymouth, ferry to Bilbao and then either walk the norte or bus to Pamplona and walk the French way. I have previously walk the french from SjPP and also done the Ingles so norte is looking the favourite.
Thanks for the advice, was in Leon last year on a rest day on May 1st and that was a special day, so Tui this year sounds like a plan.
Meet up last year on the frances with 4 people who will now be life long friends, planning a reunion in 2018 for the camino norte, so hope to do the same this year.
Hope to see you all on route as well, leaving Porto Monday 24th April, if it is as quiet as you say then "sore thumbs sticking out" comes to mind....
Buen camino
Hi Jules, I left SJPDP the same date last year with the same worries due to snow on the top. I was advised by the pilgrim office that as I had booked Orrison best to walk up there and if the napoleon route wasn't open then as said before there are roads down to Valcarlos. As it was the Orisson...
Weekend in Porto then starting out on Monday 24th April, so if anybody coincides and wants to meet up then great, always nice to share the excitement of the start.
Hi Jenyat, looking forward to meeting up with you and a fellow blue osprey talon I see.
We also have Rick and Connie at Orission on the 13th but they don't get in from Canada till after lunch on the 13th and they are heading straight up the hill mid afternoon to join us at Orission.

Hi Rick, I plan to spend the morning of the 13th having a look round SJPP before as you say a short walk up to Orisson, leave SJPP early afternoon, aiming to get to Orisson around 5, so if I don't see you on the walk will see you at Orisson. Have a safe trip, regards Steve
Hi Gareth,

So see you at Stanstead.
All the best Steve
Hi Cathy, you grab the early taxi, I do the trip to Oz every year so I know what 35 hours travelling does to you.
Perhaps catch up if your still awake during the evening.
regards
Steve

If this fits in with your timings then happy to...
