Leaving St Jean 20th Sept 2014

I will be leaving for Paris tomorrow and arriving in St Jean the eve of the 19th and leaving in the morning of the 20th...staying at the gite Kayola just before Orisson...I will stop at Orisson and hope to meet up with others on the 20th in Orisson....I must say, I'm a bit nervous, but looking...

Very excited at this point. I leave for Paris on Thursday and arrive in St Jean Friday evening to start my Camino Saturday morning...my backpack has gone from 16lbs to 20lbs with all the little things...I hope to remove a couple pounds of stuff...it would be easier if my pack didn't weigh 5lbs...

I will be with you on your evil plan to drop a stone or two along my way on the Camino...my pack came in at 15lbs or 6.8 k.....I just wish I was 6.8k lighter in the belly before the Camino...I will just introduce myself like this: Hello, my name is Joost....I'm from Amsterdam.

Thank you everyone who has replied about the transportation from Bayonne to STJPDP...looks like there are no issues other than the transfer from train to bus, which is nothing. I guess that is what the Camino is about...taking what comes each day and the help of others. Thank you for the help.

Mark, I have tried to find information about the train from Bayonne to SJPDP and haven't found anything about it not running? Does anyone have solid information on this, because I will be heading there next week. Thank you.

I read a article back in 1982 about the Camino and decided that it was something that I would do...now 30 plus years later, I have the time to do it. I was a young and healthy young man in 1982, but now I am dealing with a bad back, heart issues, a few more pounds and a couple car accidents...
