    Shortage of beds in August

The Camino primitivo is not able to manage pilgrims wave in August. People are making phone reservations and the albergues are full. Today campiello was already at noon full. I had to go to pola de allenda and book a hotel. How can i best avoid the “wave”, should i wait 2 days?

    Granon

20 years old, I have respect that they do the volunteer job. The young man of the three had to run the place for 6 days, while he was all alone. Currently there are also 2 young women same age, but they are not a team yet. So my questions was: which organization is running this place. I am very...

I donated 20 euro, and honnestly I would have expected others to do the same. To be honest it would be good if somebody that has some skills of making small repairs visits this place for a week. The three youngsters that currently run the place do not have the time to make repairs, at least that...

Still I have walked during my 3 weeks of holiday in 2013 a big part of the Camino. During this time...

If you could give just one piece of advice?

Take timely breaks, do not stay in albergues in the big towns or classical resting places, but stop earlier or after the big towns. Use merino wool socks and do not wash them. The most important tip: enjoy it, always.

What is the one Albergue that you would say not to miss

I enjoyed Trinidad De Arres very much. The albergue is behind the church. The church garden is an oase of rest
