If 100km is what's important then proof of at least 100km on any Camino should suffice.
I have done 3 Camino if this applied.
I doubt getting a Compostella makes much difference to where people walk except for mainly Spanish youth.
As overcrowding on the Francis becomes more of an issue...
Hi Rachelk
My partner and I set off from Porto late Nov 2019. We did the Central Route and loved it notwithstanding several very wet days where we got drenched. You should have seen the alberge with drying clothes everywhere. We've done 4 weeks in France and a week from SJPdP to Estella. All...
I have read both threads and both have much to offer but for me this post resonated beautifully and has encouraged me to send a copy to my daughter for more inspiration. Thank you Trishagale...especially for the saying you quoted "A tourist demands, a pilgrim is grateful". I'm part of an...
As my title suggests I am purposefully unvaccinated so I would appreciate not being advised to get vaccinated, not withstanding your best intensions.

I am hoping to...
Hi Laura
This may be too late but we caught the metro to Villa de Pinheiro to start our inland walk to SdC.
The following link may be of helpful... https://www.longdistancepaths.eu/camino/en/index.php?start=2224&kms=45&routenr=4&B1=Startkms
Even starting at VdP the first day was not great...

For those that do not suffer issues with height I can confirm the GR36 is very...
You make a damn good point... It is only those with enough that say you don't need it... perhaps if we lived in a society where it was more evenly shared, more of us could enjoy all that a camino can offer. Sadly many don't realise they actually have enough but are under some spell that drives...
Hey Davey
I feel I can address you in such an informal way after reading the whole blog thus far. I have really enjoyed reading your camino and I can't imagine how you have remembered so much detail. I have walked from Le Puy en Velay to Cahors several years back in the months of Sept/Oct and my...
Hi pickerel
My partner and I walked Porto to SdC early December last in the rain. I would have no hesitation riding this route with a mountain bike or a bike capable of gravel and ruts. You may encounter some steps from time to time. Enjoy
