In 2014 I caught a bus from Santiago to Lisbon luxury bus with stop over in Porto for lunch took about 7 hours in total. Booked the bus when I was in Santiago, fairly cheap from memory.
Having done the Camino Portuguese twice for me rest stops would definitely be Porto and many days as you can spare I had 4. Barcelos, Ponte De Lima and Pontevedra are all definite stops for me.
Joanne K, I've used the Portuguese postal service to send my extra travelling cloths to Ivar on both occasions when I walked from Porto without any problems and found the workers at the post office very helpful.
Bom Camino

I've walked the Camino from Porto twice now. It is safe, relatively comfortable, only a couple of really hard days. Everyone along the way is friendly and helpful. You will be fine.
Bon Camino.

Hello Andre,

Hello Johan,
I have walked the Portuguese Camino From Port to Santiago twice both times late April into early May. May would be a beautiful time to do the walk as there is less chance of rain. This year upon completing the Camino I caught the Bus From Santiago to Lisbon. This was the simplest...
I'm staying in Porto and Lisbon this April and May. In Porto I'm staying at Hotel Paulista which is in the central a Square and great spot to use as a base to tour around Porto. Stayed there last year. In Lisbon I will be staying in an apartment. My research showed me this was better value than...
Hi Stripey Socks,
I walked the Portuguese Way from Porto last April and will be walking it again this April starting Easter Sunday. My experience was that it was very safe and everyone we met along the way was very friendly and helpful.
