Music that goes through your head on the Camino

I sang "It´s a long way to Tipperary... I mean to Santiago" and after walking 15 to 20 km a Finnish song "last 5 km are always sooooo long" was a hit http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5B_aF4w ... re=related

Catholic Mass on the Camino Frances

I attended to many Masses during my camino this year though I am not a Catholic. One Mass was held only for pilgrims and the kind priest invited all pilgrims that have been baptised to the sacrament. I followed the invitation, crossed my arms as told, but was given not only the blessing but the...

Are you feeling homesick about the Camino and longing back?

Simply: yes. During my first half camino Frances I knew I want to come back. Someday soo. Do not know exactly why so have to go and figure it out. Plans are made, flights are booked, have started walking 6-10 km a day, twice weekends. Now I have to wait only 60 days and I will be in...

    Getting a bed

I walked in a group of 7 last September from León to Santiago and did only once have problems to find beds for all of us in the same albergue, that was in Palas de Rei. The town was fully booked (there was still some hotel rooms awailable). So that was about 70 km before Santiago and the way was...

Walking the camino this summer - what route in 2-3 weeks?

I walked last year 12 days from León to Santiago de Compostela. That was a little too short time, had to walk too many times over 30 kilometer´s a day. If you have 2-3 weeks I would suggest you to start from León, spent a day there before starting to walk, and maybe couple days in Santiago after...
